Position Summary

The General Manager will oversee the daily operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience, fostering a positive team culture, and driving financial performance. This role requires a dynamic, hands-on leader with a deep understanding of hospitality, team development, and operational excellence in a high-volume, upscale environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and inspire all front-of-house staff, ensuring hospitality excellence and adherence to service standards
  • Partner closely with the Executive Chef and back-of-house team to ensure smooth coordination and execution
  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including opening/closing procedures, reservations, guest flow, and service pacing
  • Manage P&L, budgeting, labor, inventory, and cost control initiatives to achieve revenue and profitability goals
  • Maintain a culture of accountability, professionalism, and warmth throughout the restaurant
  • Act as the face of the restaurant, engaging with guests, resolving issues, and ensuring a consistently high-quality experience
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard team members, fostering professional development and retention
  • Implement systems and SOPs to drive operational efficiency and consistency
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Liaise with ownership and report on performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a high-end, full-service restaurant
  • Deep understanding of NYC dining culture and guest expectations
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills in a high-volume environment
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, cost controls, and scheduling
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and service excellence
  • Working knowledge of reservation and POS systems (Resy, Toast, Aloha, etc.)
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Compensation Details

Base Salary: $120,000 - $140,000
